A friend of mine suggested that I read this book and I'm glad she did. It is mostly realistic fiction, but with just a little bit of magic - books don't always fall into neat categories!
The book is divided into 4 sections. In each part a kid finds a library card that somehow helps them to solve a problem they are having. Except for the library card, all of the stories and characters are completely different. I thought that was an interesting way to tell the stories.
If you like short stories, or stories about realistic kids, you will like this one.
Jerry Spinelli is a popular author and we have several of his books in our class library. This book is Level R.
